Basic properties of ceramic cup
Jul 02, 2022
The quality of ceramic cups lies in a series of reference indicators such as whiteness, light transmittance, gloss, heat, acid resistance, mass density, brittleness, etc. All properties of a good ceramic cup meet the requirements, and the technical indicators of these properties are as follows.
1. The gloss of a ceramic cup depends on the flatness and smoothness of the porcelain surface.
2. The measurement method of thermal stability is to put the test sample into the electric furnace, gradually raise the temperature from 100 ℃, take out the sample every 20 ℃, put it into 20 ℃ water for quenching, and repeat until there is crack or crack on the surface of the sample.
3. Ceramic cup is a good acid resistant material, which can resist the erosion of inorganic acid, organic acid and salt. However, the corrosion resistance is weak. When using tableware enamel, it should be noted that when the lead dissolution under weak acid-base erosion exceeds a certain amount, it is harmful to human body.
4. The ceramic cup has a dense texture, and the water absorption rate does not exceed 0.5%. The water absorption rate of pottery starts from 4-5%.
5. In order to improve the brittleness of ceramic materials, zirconia ceramic cups with high toughness and high strength were developed.
